Funding Roundup for… Community Centres
Many of the community centres we speak with on a weekly basis are unaware just how much funding is available to support the great work they do.
Of course time constraints is a huge barrier, sitting through websites trying to find funding isn’t the most glamorous of tasks.
To help you out, we have listed some grants that might be relevant below:
Million Hours Fund
This funding is for organisations to give extra support to young people in areas where they may be at risk of anti-social behaviour. Funding is available to support work that will help you people have: improved emotional wellbeing, improved life and practical skills and access to trusted relationships with adults and feel safer.
Sport England Small Grants
If you are looking to provide opportunities for your community to be more active, Sport England is the best place to start. With grants of up to £15,000 available you can access funding to deliver a range of projects that encourage people to be more active.
National Lottery Awards for All
You are probably already aware of awards for all but if not, a perfect fund to look at to deliver a range of projects that support your community. You can look at funding to bring people together in your community, improving spaces or helping people with the cost of living crisis.
Know your Neighbourhood
Funds support people living in disadvantaged areas to connect with others in their community and engage in volunteering, with the aim of improving wellbeing and pride in place.
Cost of Living Fund
This funding is for organisations that support people and communities in England under severe pressure because of the increased cost of living. This can be used to fund food and emergency supplies, shelters, safe spaces, warm rooms and housing advice.
Partnerships Fund
This fund offers a larger amount of funding (over £10,000) for organisations that work together with a shared set of goals to help their community – whether that’s a community living in the same area, or people with similar interests or life experiences.
