East Sussex Short Breaks Grants
Grants of up to £10k are available for constituted groups in East Sussex to deliver short break activities for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) aged between 0 and 19 years.
Projects should address gaps in short breaks provision within East Sussex, including:
- Geographic gaps.
- Time gaps.
- Income gaps.
- Age gaps.
- Specific needs gaps.
- Type of provision gaps.
Revenue grants can be used to cover activities such as:
- Contributing towards start-up funding for new short break provisions.
- Sustaining and enhancing existing short break provisions.
- Improving the quality of the short breaks environment.
- Research and development.
- Marketing activities.
- Organisational development to improve the long-term stability of organisations.
Funding is for projects and activities that:
- Are innovative.
- Show evidence of need.
- Address the short break’s agenda.
- Be additional to the normal work of the applicant.
- Have a clear benefit to a group (or groups) of children and young people with disabilities in East Sussex.
