About the Fund

The Percy Bilton Charity is a grant-making trust that provides assistance to organizations and individuals in need across the UK. Charities assisting disadvantaged youth, people with disabilities, people with mental health problems and older people may apply for grants towards furnishings and equipment (excluding office items).

Social Workers, Community Psychiatric Nurses and Occupational Therapists within Local Authorities or NHS Trusts may apply on behalf of individuals in financial need who have a disability or severe mental health problem, or who are over 65 on low income, for basic household items including white goods, single beds, flooring and clothing vouchers.

Eligibility

Registered charities in the U.K. whose primary objectives are to assist one or more of the following groups:

  • Disadvantaged/underprivileged young people (under 25 years of age)
  • People with disabilities (physical or learning disabilities) or mental health problems
  • Older people (aged over 60)

Grant Details

Large grants – one off payments for capital expenditure of approximately £2,000 and over (the majority of grants fall within the range of £2,000 to £5,000)
