About the Fund
The Greggs Foundation Community Grants Programme provides grants of £20,000 per year for up to three years to local not-for-profit organisations that tackle local community challenges.
Eligible organisations must be based in specified geographical focus areas near Greggs Outlets or in areas of social deprivation, including the North East of England, Leeds (LS7), Sunderland, Bradford (BD15), Stockton-on-Tees, and Glasgow (G1).
Priority is given to organisations addressing direct community needs, providing food and support, reducing social isolation, and building knowledge, confidence, and opportunities. The grants are core funding aimed to help meet fixed costs and keep services running. Applicants must have an annual income between £25,000 and £1,000,000, at least one set of annual accounts, less than six months’ free reserves, a board of at least three unrelated trustees, a safeguarding policy, and be independent. Ineligible groups include animal charities, friends associations, national organisations, schools, uniformed groups, and sports clubs.
