The Go! London Foundation Round 5 offers funding to community organisations delivering sport and physical activity programmes for underserved children and young people across London.
The fund focuses on increasing activity levels while also improving wider outcomes such as wellbeing, social connection and employability.
About the Fund
Go! London is the largest community sport fund in London, backed by a partnership including the Mayor of London, Sport England and the London Marathon Foundation.
The Foundation strand is designed to support grassroots organisations delivering ongoing sport and physical activity provision, helping them reach more young people and build long-term sustainability.
Projects must support children and young people aged 4 to 24 who face barriers such as poverty, social exclusion or discrimination.
How Much Funding Is Available
- Up to £40,000 per project
- Up to £55,000 available for projects requiring specialist support
- Funding available for up to 24 months
Funding can cover both project delivery and core organisational costs, helping groups strengthen and sustain their work.
What the Fund Supports
Projects must be centred around sport or physical activity and can include additional wraparound support.
The fund supports three tiers of activity:
- Participation: broad activities increasing physical activity levels
- Targeted: structured programmes for groups facing specific barriers
- Specialised: intensive, long-term support for young people with complex needs
Projects can also aim to achieve wider outcomes such as:
- Improved mental wellbeing
- Stronger community connections
- Increased employability skills
- Safer environments for young people
Activities can include traditional sport or alternative physical activities such as dance, fitness or movement-based programmes.
