About the Fund
Our Fund aims to support the wellbeing of communities in the Severn Trent region. They want to fund new projects that link to three key elements of community wellbeing – People, Place and Environment – and they’re really interested in projects that cover all three:
Eligibility
You can apply for a grant if your organisation:
- is not-for-profit, has a governing document and a bank account in the legal name of the organisation (with dual signatories); or
- is a foundation school, college or academy trust; or
- is a statutory body (including local authorities, town, parish or community council).
The proposed project must be located in the Severn Trent region and the community it is benefiting must be Severn Trent customers. They catchment region stretches across the heart of the UK, from the Bristol Channel to the Humber, and from the West Midlands to the East Midlands.You can check if your project is in our region using the map or Water UK’s water supply postcode checker.
Grant Details
There are two sizes of grant that you can apply for in 2026:
£2,000 to £20,000
- Your organisation does not need to be registered
- Match funding is encouraged but not required
£20,000 to £50,000
- Your organisation must be registered with either the Charity Commission or Companies House; or be a state-funded school (foundation school, college or academy), statutory body (Local Authority or Parish Council), exempt or excepted charity.
- Match funding is encouraged but not required
How to apply
- Check eligibility (organisation + project + location).

- Complete and submit the online application via the Community Fund portal.
- Submit to the appropriate panel deadline for your grant size.
- Wait for panel review and decision notifications.
