About the Fund
Grants for charities delivering innovative, long-term solutions that support vulnerable young people, aged 18 years old and under, aligned to our prioritised themes.We aim to support organisations and initiatives that help future-proof the lives of children, focusing on solutions to the root causes of disadvantage. Applicants are encouraged to present bold and innovative approaches that address the systemic issues connected to abuse, addiction, homelessness and caring responsibilities — not just the symptoms.
Sectors / Themes:
- Abuse (physical, emotional, sexual, online)
- Addiction (own or family’s)
- Child carers (young carers)
- Homelessness / young people without a safe home or in crisis accommodation
Eligibility
- Registered UK charities with annual turnover < £1.5 million.
- Charities must be operational (not volunteer‑only, presumably established before funding thresholds, though for Shine Bright the older‑than‑2020 rule seems associated with Project Funding, not strictly Shine Bright)
- Not open to individuals, private companies, unregistered groups, or for‑profit organisations.
Grant Details
- Grants are available for £60,000 over two years (£30,000 per year)
- Grants are offered on an unrestricted basis
- Applicants must be from a registered UK charity
- Applicants must have a turnover of under £1.5m
