About the Fund
The Chrysalis Trust was established in 2009 and makes grants to UK registered charities and other organisations that carry out charitable activities providing public benefit.
We focus on less popular and harder to fund projects and with a spread of funding between local (North-East England), National (providing benefit across the UK) and International projects.The trust provides support for both capital projects and core funding
EligibilityCriteria:
- The ability of the applicant to demonstrate that they provide public benefit
- The impact the grant will make
- The number of people the grant will benefit and for how long
- How any shortfall in funding for the project will be raised
- The time scale for the project
Grant Details
- The Trust offers one-off donations to support either projects or core funding.
- Typical grant size: £1,000–£10,000; occasionally more for larger projects.
- The Trust funds 10–15 grants per year on average.
How to apply
- Download and complete the application form from the Trust’s website.
- Submit before the deadlines: 15 June or 15 December (midnight GMT), the two annual submission windows
- After submission, you get an acknowledgement. Applications that pass preliminary screening are considered at the next Board meeting.
- If shortlisted, the Trust may request further information for due diligence, including contact details of two references.
