Charities working to improve mental health outcomes across the UK now have the opportunity to apply for grants of up to £100,000 from the Kristina Martin Charitable Trust.
This fund is focused on delivering lasting impact by backing projects that tackle some of the biggest mental health challenges faced by marginalised groups, particularly young people and those affected by isolation, digital harm, or homelessness.
About the Fund
This programme is designed to support small, grassroots charities that are deeply embedded in the communities they serve. It recognises that local organisations are often best placed to understand and address mental health issues and seeks to fund practical, scalable solutions.
Grants can be used for core costs, project costs, or both, giving organisations flexibility to deliver meaningful change.
The Four Priority Themes
To be eligible, your work must align with at least one of the following:
1. Breaking the link between homelessness & poor mental health
Funding to support people experiencing homelessness by providing ongoing mental health support, advocacy and access to services that aid recovery and reintegration.
2. Reducing the effects of social media on mental health
Projects that help young people build real-life connections and reduce online harm such as peer-led support groups, workshops, or social enterprise activities.
3. Reducing social isolation
Initiatives that create community spaces, volunteering opportunities or peer support networks that combat loneliness and build resilience.
4. Improving mental health outcomes for children & young people
Early-intervention programmes focused on emotional wellbeing, trauma recovery, or life-skills development. May include staff/volunteer training or tools for schools and community workers.
